Guided by years of experience and a respect for honest ingredients, we create wood-fired dishes that bring people together and turn any occasion into something memorable.

At Verato, everything begins with fire, the heart of Italian cooking and the soul of our story.
Over the years, we have refined the art of wood-fired pizza catering with passion and purpose. Chef Gio founded Verato after more than two decades in kitchens across Italy and Australia. During those years, he worked in some of the most celebrated restaurants and learned the value of genuine hospitality.
Because of this experience, every Verato dish reflects both tradition and warmth. We cook with care, keeping every detail honest and full of flavour. After years working in Wollongong’s best venues, Gio decided it was time to share his love for food beyond restaurant walls. With wood-fired pizza catering, we bring the spirit of Italian dining to every event, from beachside gatherings to weddings.
Today, Verato is a family-run crew with a mobile wood-fired oven. We focus on serving dishes that celebrate simplicity, flavour, and connection. Our pizza dough follows a slow fermentation process to build texture and taste. In addition, we use quality ingredients from local producers who share our values of care and authenticity.
